Parkin Electric is very proud of the fact that we have the third and fourth
generations working together in the company. Our family is not just limited
to blood, as we genuinely believe in maintaining a “family” atmosphere
with all of our employees. We do take our work very seriously, but also strongly
believe that having a relaxed and enjoyable place to work, greatly increases
the productivity of our people.
Thomas Parkin founded what is now Parkin Electric in 1945. He originally started business in Madras, Oregon and then moved the company to Portland. In 1968 the company was passed to Tom’s son Harry, who ran the company until he in turn passed the reigns to his son Dave, and wife Maureen in 1990. In 2001 Dave and Maureen moved the company to it’s present location in Oregon City, Oregon. Today in addition to many loyal and long-term employees, Dave has been joined by his brother Wade and his son Matt.
The company has always believed in developing strong relationships with our employees, and with our customers. Because of this, almost all of our work comes from repeat customers and referrals.
